Important information
Before and After Riding
We meet at the stable at your booked time, so please do not arrive far in advance — your booked time should be considered your arrival time. If you arrive much earlier, we may not be home.
Upon arrival, we go through which horse each rider will have and which equipment belongs to each horse. Please expect it to take around 45 minutes before we leave with the horses. Each rider brushes and prepares the horse they will ride.
After the ride, it takes approximately 30 minutes to sponge off any sweat, brush the horses after the ride, and take care of the equipment.
Required Experience
Several years of independent riding experience are required. Not suitable for rusty or inexperienced riders.
We only accept riders who can confidently and independently control a horse in all gaits. You must be able to rise to the trot and sit securely in both trot and canter.
Our horses are kind, but our rides are not suitable for beginners.
If you have booked a ride and we determine that you cannot complete it safely, we will immediately end the ride for your safety and the safety of our horses.
No refund will be given for an interrupted ride.
Age Limit
Our minimum age is 15 years.
We only have large and fairly energetic horses, which are not suitable for children. Riding them is not comparable to riding a typical riding-school horse.
All horses except Curre are retrained trotters.
Maximum Weight
Our horses have different weight limits. The saddles we use are 16.5–17.5 inches, which also limits rider size. Weight limits are set for the horses' wellbeing.
- Harry – only used as guide horse
- Curre – 85 kg
- Greta – 85 kg
- Berra – 80 kg
- Stella – 75 kg
- Plutten – 75 kg
- Gnista – 65 kg
Wellness Allowance (Friskvårdsbidrag)
If you need documentation for a wellness allowance reimbursement, each person must make their own booking in their own name in order to receive a separate receipt for their employer.
Enter your personal identity number in the "wellness allowance" field so it appears on the receipt.
We cannot issue separate receipts afterward, since receipts are generated automatically when the booking is made.
Book with Epassi / Benify
Once you have completed your purchase through Epassi / Benify, email your receipt to info@bednride.se and we will send you a code that can be used to book a ride in our booking system.
Please note: gift cards from Epassi / Benify can only be used for riding lessons and trail rides.
The code must be used and the experience booked within 3 months of purchase.
If you buy a punch card or gift card worth more than 2000 SEK, the validity period is 1 year.
Payment
Payment is made by card / Swish when booking through the website.
For special bookings, we send a payment link or agree on another booking method.
Booking Rules
We do not offer refunds for booked rides.
If you choose rebooking protection, you may reschedule to another date up to 48 hours before your booked arrival time.
Exceptions apply in the case of thunder, storms, or other dangerous conditions, but in such cases we will contact you if we assess the weather as unsafe.
Gift cards are non-refundable.
Cancellation Due to Bad Weather
If you selected rebooking protection, you may rebook up to 48 hours before arrival.
Late rebookings/cancellations due to snow, rain, etc. are treated as late cancellations and are non-refundable.
Please bring rainwear if showers are expected.
In cases of strong winds, heavy rain, storms, or thunder, we may decide to delay or reschedule the ride for safety reasons.
If we cancel, the full amount will be refunded, but we first try to find a new suitable time.
We always prioritize postponing departure until the bad weather has passed.
We decide whether conditions are too poor for a safe ride.
This may also apply in sudden snowfall if we have not yet fitted snow pads and studs to the horses.
All horses wear anti-slip protection.
If sudden snow falls, the ride will be moved to another day if snow only lasts a few days. During longer cold periods, horses wear studs and snow pads.
In autumn, when many leaves fall from the beech trees, rides may be adapted depending on ground conditions if leaf-slip becomes a risk.
We cannot control the amount of leaves in nature, and the safety of horses, riders, and staff comes first.
If you want to avoid slippery leaves, avoid booking during leaf-fall season.
Insurance
Our horses are insured through Agria, and everyone riding or staying around the horses is covered by their accident insurance.
We also recommend that you have your own accident insurance.
Our horses are kind, stable, and reliable, but all riding is at your own risk.
They are prey animals, and accidents can happen.
Clothing and Equipment
Bring your own riding equipment.
All riding gear must be clean to prevent the spread of infection between stables.
Whips and spurs are not allowed on any of our horses.
Bring clothing suitable for the weather (if rain is possible, bring rainwear).
A riding helmet is mandatory for everyone riding with us.
We have a few helmets available to borrow if someone forgets theirs, but we recommend bringing your own.
Please note that a helmet involved in an accident or older than 5 years may no longer provide safe protection.
Everyone under 18 must wear a safety vest.
You must bring your own vest, as we do not have any available to borrow.
Riding boots with a small heel and long trousers are required to ride.
Bringing Your Own Pet
It is not permitted to bring your own dog to our farm.
We have an insecure female dog at home who does not appreciate visitors.
Please leave your dog at home or with a dog sitter.
